By order of Governor Walz schools in Minnesota will begin Distance Learning on Monday, March 30 and will continue through Friday, May 1. The school buildings will remain locked during this time.

Today’s joke was sent to us from Mr. Woitalewicz. He’s got a million of them. Anyone else have a joke to share? Email me your best joke.

What’s the difference between a hippo and a Zippo?

One is really heavy and the other is a little lighter!

01. Grades 7-12 -- Student Schedule: 3/30/20-5/1/20

● Student classwork will be posted to Google Classroom. Teachers will post new work to Google Classroom in the following manner each week during distance learning:

○ Monday & Thursday - new work posted for periods 1-4 of the regular WWG HS Schedule

○ Tuesday & Friday - new work posted for periods 5-8 of the regular WWG HS Schedule

○ Wednesday - teachers will complete individual check-ins with students

02. Attendance : Students will be required to check in each weekday between 8:15 am and 12:00 pm on Google Classroom. Students will be invited to a classroom labeled “ATTENDANCE” in

which they will check in each day to be marked present for that day. If, by 12:30 pm, a student

has not yet made contact with their attendance teacher over Google Classroom, the student

will be considered absent-unexcused for that school day and a parent will be required to call

the high school office in order to excuse the student's absence. Absences due to student

illness in which the student cannot check in for attendance need to be called in to the high

school office before 12:30pm.

03. Doors to the school will be locked during our closure. Please call rather than stopping by to do business. If you are bringing a child for daycare, someone will open the door for you at the time you designated.

04. Lunch - Meals will be delivered to homes Monday-Friday beginning Mon., 3/30. If you have already signed up, there is no need to contact the school unless you need the meals delivered to an address other than the one we have on file at school.

You can still sign up for these meals by contacting the school at 507-274-6111 or email kolar@wwgschools.org. We need your name, address for delivery and number of meals needed for those in your household who are 1-18 years old.

Meal delivery will continue until school resumes or until you let us know you no longer wish to receive the meals.

05. Daycare - If you are a qualified essential emergency worker, you can still sign up for day care at school. Email Mr. Woitalewicz at woitalewiczfac@wwgschools.org or call him at 507-620-3001
