Virtual Media Help Office Hours
The team at Lamont and Cabot Library is here to field your questions and support your media projects.
We no longer monitor the Zoom room regularly, but you may contact us to schedule an appointment and to describe the assistance you require.
Connect via Zoom [see below for additional info]
If you have not used Zoom before, you may wish to consult the Participating in a Zoom Meeting Quick Start Guide. If you are connecting online in an area without a good internet connection, we recommend shutting off your video to ensure the stability of your connection.

Sharing your screen allows us to see exactly what you’re seeing, and troubleshoot or offer advice accordingly.
[4] Once you’ve chosen a share mode, click the blue ‘Share’ button.
Sometimes it’s difficult to talk through troubleshooting. Zoom allows users to request and allow remote access of your screen for just such occasions. To allow us to remotely control your program, first be sure to share the correct screen (see the screenshot above) and then click on ‘Remote Control’ and choose ‘Give Mouse/keyboard control to’ the individual helping you.
