Adlerian Therapy Series- Encouragement Worksheet
Adlerian Therapy is an encouragement-focused, growth model anchored on the perspective of optimism. Using this lens of positivity, Adlerian therapists see clients as capable, responsible, and abled. Furthermore, the approach dwells on resilience, hope, prevention, drive toward the future, and resourcefulness.
Adlerians see behavioral problems as a manifestation of a person’s discouragement. They do not embrace the idea of curing a behavioral problem, instead, they see counseling as a process of encouraging a person.
This worksheet aims to assess a counselor’s level of encouragement, a vital characteristic required if one aims to practice Adlerian Therapy.
