- How to check for the latest version of the Magicbit OS?
- Usually version number is displayed on the Magicbit screen, once you plugged in it.


- How to update for the latest OS?
- Connect the device to the computer from the USB cable
- Open the Magicbit Web uploader from any browser in your computer
- Click on ‘’Connect’’ button and select the USB serial Port and click connect in the pop-up
- Then select the “Magicbit OS’’ option and wait until it get uploaded.
- Once the uploading is finished, the Magicbit automatically restart.

- No USB Serial Port in the pop-up
- Connect magicbit to another USB port in the computer
- Also check the USB cable comes with the kit.
- Still serial port doesn't show up, try installing USB drivers
- Click on ‘’Install Drivers” to download it, open the downloaded file & press Install.

- If serial port shows up correctly and still not connecting, press reset button immediately when you see dots(.....) Appear on the bottom of the uploader window.

- How to create an account in Magicblocks?
- Login to Magicblocks.io website and SIGN UP.
- Check the inbox or spam folder in your email to verify the account.
- How to get a subscription for Magicblocks account ?
- Open the ‘’Subscription’’ page by clicking on the cart icon in the left side panel.
- Enter the “Coupon code’’ in the card given in your Magicbit package box.

- How to get out from the ‘’Demo mode” ?
- Open the ‘’Subscription’’ page by clicking on the cart icon in the left side panel.
- Enter the “Coupon code’’ in the card given in your Magicbit package box.

- How to add Magicbit to Magicblocks?
- How to troubleshoot Wi-Fi connecting issue in Magicblocks with Magicbit.
- Firstly, you need to verify the WiFi band of your access point is 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.
- To check whether your wifi network supports Magicbit, follow these steps:
- Open the ‘’Examples’’ mode in the Magicbit OS.
- Then load the Wi-Fi example


- Wait for few seconds until it scans all the available networks.
- On the display supported network will be displayed, you can browse thru the list by pressing (Right) key.
- If your network is there within the list, it should connect without an issue.
- You need to check for the network SSID and password you entered in the configuration steps in the Magicblocks.
- If the above list doesn’t contain the name of your network, that means you need to go for another network.
Important – If you use a mobile hotspot, please make sure that the wifi hotspot is configured like this:
Android:
- Enable the hotspot on your device and follow the steps above as they are. (No need to worry about the Wi-Fi band since it defaults to 2.4 GHz).
IOS:
You need to change your hotspot name as follows:
- Go to Settings => General => About => Name and modify the hotspot name without including the ['] character.



- Make sure to change your WiFi band of your access point is 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.
- Goto Settings => Personal Hotspot and enable Maximise Compatibility
