Please be advised that the New Beit Habonim includes some electronic innovations that may be challenging for traditional observance of Shabbat.

We have been in consultation with our halakhic advisor, Rabbi Lockshin, and these are the conclusions:

The toilets are automatic (electronic). We have been advised that they are permissible to use on Shabbat.

The washroom sinks and soap dispensers are also electronic and are more problematic in terms of traditional Shabbat observance. Therefore, Purell as well as containers of water and liquid soap have been provided as an alternative.
