What we collect and why

Our aim in our collection of information is to collect only what we need to provide and improve our AI-powered services.

As a general matter, when you provide information, we are using it for one of the following reasons:

To present our website and its contents to you.
To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
To provide you with notices about your account.
To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
To notify you about changes to our website or any products or services we offer or provide though it.
To allow you to participate in interactive features on our website.

Identity & Access

When you sign up for our service, we collect:

Your name, email and cell phone number
Company information
Login credentials
Slack token
Fireflies API key

We need this information to create your account, provide our services, and send you essential updates. With your consent, we may send you newsletters and product updates.

We will never sell your personal information to third parties, and we will not use your name or your company’s name in marketing statements without your permission.

Billing Information

For paid accounts, we collect:

Payment card details (processed securely via Stripe, our payment processor)
Billing address
Transaction history

Credit card data is handled directly by Stripe - it never touches our servers. We store only enough data to handle billing support and comply with tax laws.

Product Interactions

We store on our servers the content that you upload, receive or maintain in your Powerline account. This is so we can provide you with our Service, and you can use our Service as intended, for example, to get your morning briefings in Powerline. We keep this content as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete the content within 60 days.

We collect:

Your interactions with our AI features
Data from integrated third-party platforms
Usage patterns and preferences
Performance metrics

This helps us improve our analytical pipelines, enhance service quality, and provide personalized experiences.

Correspondence

When you email GSD with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so that we have a history of past correspondence to reference if you reach out in the future.

If you agree to a customer interview or feedback session, we may ask for your permission to record the conversation for future reference or use. We will only do so with your express consent. We own all such information including all feedback we receive.

On our website, we collect:

IP address and general location
Browser type and version
Device information
Pages visited
Referring website

We use this data to secure our services and improve website performance. We also use standard analytics tools to understand how people use our site.

Data sharing is limited to what is needed for the integration

Access: Get a copy of your data
Correct: Fix incorrect information
Delete: Request data deletion
Export: Get your data in a usable format

How we secure your data

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We use industry-standard security measures:

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website. Children's Access

Our services are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover we have such data, we will promptly delete it and terminate associated accounts.

We keep data as long as needed to provide services and comply with all applicable laws:

Account data: While active plus 60 days if customer requests account deletion
Billing records: 7 years

Company Sale, Merger, or Acquisition

In the event that GSD or substantially all of its assets are acquired by, or merged with, another company or entity ("Transaction"), we want to inform you about how your personal information may be handled:
