Responsible For:        

Base Location:        15 Centenary Business Centre, Hammond Close, Nuneaton, CV11 6RY and delivery will be at Stockingford COmmunity Centre, Haunchwood Road, Nuneaton.

Hours:        6 hours per week to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the service including some evening working. (Term time only)

Duration:                           Until January 2019

Salary:                 £9.70 per hour

With young people in a paid or voluntary capacity.

Partnership working

Experience in a range of youth settings e.g centre based, alternative provisions, issue based, residential, detached and using local green spaces.

Experience of working with underrepresented groups of young people

Mentoring and befriending

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE

Understanding of the principles of youth work and a commitment to implementing them

E

Understanding of the principles of equal opportunities and a commitment to implementing them

E

ICT skills sufficient to produce reports and promotional materials

E

Knowledge of the issues faced by young people with social emotional and behavioural difficulties

D

Youth work qualification (e.g NVQ level 2)

Knowledge and understanding of the Voluntary and community sector

D

Minibus qualification or ability to complete qualification

D

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to build effective working relationships with young people and people at all levels inside and outside the organisation
