WEDNESDAY WE ARE ON EARLY RELEASE SCHEDULE.  STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 1:35.

GO BILLIES!!

Congratulations to the Wrestling team on their 5th place finish at our King of the Hill Tournament.  Blaine Rodolf, Jake Pray and Asher Ruchti placed 1st, Logan Parrish and Isabelle Rodolf placed 3rd.

SPORTING EVENTS

JV and Varsity Girls Basketball teams play Creswell there today at 4:30 and 6:00.  They will be dismissed at 3:00.

JV, JV2, and Varsity Boys Basketball teams play Creswell there today at 4:30, 6:00, and 7:30.  JV and JV2 will be dismissed at 3:00.

Wrestling has a meet at Harrisburg today at 5:00.  They will be dismissed at 2:45.

JV and Varsity Girls Basketball teams play Harrisburg at home on Friday at 4:30 and 6:00.

JV, JV2, and Varsity Boys Basketball teams play Harrisburg at home on Friday at 4:30, 6:00, and 7:30.

UPCOMING MEETINGS/EVENTS

Cupcakes will be sold outside the office for $1.  All proceeds will be donated to the cause of the month.

Truth in Recruiting will be at PHHS during lunch on Wednesday, January 10th, with information for students who are thinking of joining the military after high school.  Come check them out in the counseling office.

OTHER

Attention all High school and Middle School students!  Your Billies basketball teams play league rival Creswell today.  We need you all to be there to support and cheer us on to victory!  We will see you at Creswell High School at 6:00 and 7:30!

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors - Outdoor School Counselors are wanted!  See Ms. Raade in Room 9 for an application to be a counselor for 6th Grade Outdoor School April 2 - April 6.  Application deadline is Friday, January 26th.  All selected counselors must be available to attend 5 evening training sessions.

LUNCH BUDDIES NEEDED!  If you are a high school student looking to do some good in the new year, come see Bonaventure about mentoring the little ones at the elementary school at lunch on Thursdays.

Any Junior or Senior planning to take Pre Apprenticeship Residential Electrical Wiring next semester, please see Mr. Erickson (even if you are not sure about it, but are interested).  This is a College Now class and will be offered 2nd period.

Food will no longer be allowed in the art room.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

2018 Babe Ruth Baseball Evaluations will take place in the high school gym.  Please register online prior to going.  Payment is due in full at the time of evaluations.  You will only need to attend one time slot.

COLLEGE AND CAREER

High school students wanting to work during the summer, the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) applications are in the counseling office.  The program is designed to assist Forest Service employees in campground maintenance, hiking trail rehabilitation, and general forest rehabilitation/improvement projects.  The work starts on June 18th and ends August 9th. Turn applications in to Mrs. Duval in the counseling office by February 8th, and she will mail them.

Juniors and Sophomores - FBI Youth Academy July 9-July 13 in Salem, Oregon - Experience an inside look at the workings of the FBI. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to engage with FBI agents, law enforcement officers, forensic experts, and community leaders to foster academic excellence, leadership skills, team building and career exploration.  Applications will be available January 1 and can be found at fbi.gov/Portland (outreach tab).  You must be a junior or senior in the 2018/2019 school year.  See Ms. Ruiz in the counseling office for more information.

MENU

Today the canteen will serve nachos or burritos, corn, salsa, refried beans, and peaches for lunch.  Wednesday they will serve muffin or breakfast bar, fruit/juice, and choice of milk for breakfast and chicken nuggets or grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, oranges/raisins, and carrots for lunch.

COMMUNITY

Booster Meeting NEW TIME 7:00 pm on Wednesday, Jan 10th, in the Community Center.  You don’t have to be a Booster to attend.  Come meet our new Auction Coordinator for 2018, Jessica Fitzmorris.
