5th Grade Supply List

          This will be collected at the beginning of the school year in August.

6th Grade Supply List 2021-22

Elgin Middle School

  • 2 wide-ruled composition notebooks (100 pages each) (Reading, Science)

  • 4 plastic folders with prongs (Reading, Geography (2), Science)

  • 1.5 inch binder (Math) (one inch is too small)
  • 2 one-subject spiral notebooks (Science, Math)

  • 3 subject spiral with built in pockets (English)

  • basic four function calculator (not scientific)
  • Kleenex
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Loose leaf notebook paper
  • Backpack (wheeled backpacks do not fit in our lockers and they do not have to be clear)
  • Pencil Pouch

Please make sure the pencil pouch is large enough to hold:

  • Pencils (put 3-4 in pouch and save the rest at home or in your locker for when you need them.)
  • Grading Pens (any color except blue or black and just put 2-3 in pouch)
  • Erasers
  • Hand-held pencil sharpener
  • Colored pencils (pkg of 12)

(Students usually need at least 2 packages throughout the year)

  • Highlighters (1 pkg with 4 different colors)
  • Bottle of glue
  • Scissors (8 inch)

Place these items in your pouch prior to the first day of school.

**Due the first day of school:  $5.00 for daily planner (required).  Checks are payable to Elgin Public Schools.

7th Grade Supply List 21/22

7th graders will be given a supply list from each of their teachers with supplies needed for each class.

EVERY 7th grader will need and use:

Pencil bag pouch with pencils, red grading pens, highlighters, colored pencils, scissors, wired earbuds (to be used with Chromebooks),cheap basic calculator (no scientific or graphing), and small bottle of glue.

Hand sanitizer

Kleenex

Glue sticks

Loose leaf paper

Lots of Pencils

The following are items that students may need depending on which classes they are placed in. These are items that are on the list individual teachers will hand out the first week of school.

Composition books

Four 1 inch binders

One 2 inch binder for 7th math

Subject dividers with pockets

Paper towels

Graph paper composition notebook

3-Subject Notebook

2 inch binder (Bridges)

8th Grade Supply List 2021-22

IMPORTANT: This is a generic list of 8th grade supplies.  We are working with new staff members to make final edits. Please remember to look for individual teacher supply lists and syllabi that coordinate with your child’s schedule after the first day of school.  A final list of supplies will be available at that time.

Supplies to be Used in All Subjects:

1 - STURDY 3-Ring Binder or Trapper Keeper (2” inch or larger)

Pens (Blue or Black)

1 - Set of 6 Subject Dividers

3 - Composition Books (Reading, History, *Math )

1 - Plastic hole-punched pocket folder for binder or equivalent to store handouts for the year

SCIENCE:

1 - 3-ring binder for the year

ENGLISH:

Composition book or 1-subject spiral notebook, folder or pocket divider in a large binder

Pre-AP needs a 3-subject spiral notebook

HISTORY:

Included in above list

MATH:

*Composition book with graph paper (make sure you look at which teacher you have)

Diley - 3 Subject Notebook

Davidson - plain composition book, fine tip markers, pack of graph paper
