Company News - 2023 Q1
Dear White Prompt Team.
As we begin a new quarter, I want to take a moment to reflect on the economic climate of 2023 so far and how it affects us.
The macro factors of the economy remain more or less the same as last year. Inflation is decreasing but still high at 6%. The interest rate hikes are decelerating, but still growing. The war in Europe is not getting any better.
This quarter we’ve seen the real impact on our market. Big tech companies have laid off thousands of developers. The collapse of 3 banks has affected hundreds of Startups, including 2 of our clients that had to shut their doors.
At White Prompt we remain solid. We have 35 active clients so our risk is very much diversified. Most of them are on a hiring freeze waiting for the tide to change. We are here to help them meet their goals and get ready for the next bull market. We are still landing new projects from time to time - referrals from existing clients - which speaks lots about the work we are doing. We have to double our efforts these days to keep our clients happy.
Behind closed doors, we continue expanding and improving the initiatives that make this a better place to work. We approved lots of training, we sponsored a few AWS Certifications, March had ATH attendance to Social Events, and we have not missed a single OTT since we started. Hope you all are enjoying these perks.
These are times to be patient and stay calm. Any questions or suggestions, you know where to find me.
Nacho.
During this quarter we spent a lot of energy on improving the Area services. We are building them in the shape of our customer's needs and their technical expectations of our work.
We also put a lot of effort into maintaining the initiatives we already developed as OTTs, Mentoring, and Training. We continued iterating our methodologies, both L10 Meetings and OKRs.
Einstein Millan has been putting a lot of effort into creating a new Knowledge Base implemented in Notion.
It will be a space where we could share knowledge between our TMs and also with the community. We expect to launch it this month (April 2023).
Thanks to Roddy Garcia who helped us get started with the tool.
We did a lot of progress re-designing our Estimation Service.
It has been renamed to Project D&D and it has widened its scope to Discovery, Design, and Estimation. This process allows us to understand what a client needs, from a functional point of view, and together with the Product Design department we document the functionality, create wireframes, define the architecture, document technical design, do the branding and mockups, and estimate the effort. Everything follows a standard process and uses templates.
Thanks, Jose Liendro, for putting so much effort into driving this process.
We want to thank these TMs for sharing their knowledge every Friday: Matias Wanzenried, Lucas Oliveira, Marcelo Bairros, Virgilio Jara, Laura Pilili, José Liendro, Jeremias Gibilbank Fichman, Marcos Romeo, Einstein Millan.
All of them were really enjoyable. We encourage all of you to assist to be present on these calls. We cheer you up to present one for the rest of the company!
The presentations are being uploaded to YouTube, watch them, subscribe, and give us a like! We also want to thank Martin Rotaveria, Mariano Ignagni, and Lucas Oliveira for providing us with new blog posts with their knowledge. Find them here.
Constant learning is the way to go. At White Prompt we are sponsoring the training of any kind. Just pick something you want to learn and submit the request. 35 people have done it already and we expect to reach you all.
People are doing training from sources such as Udemy, TechRepublic, AWS, and Coderhouse. Please don’t lose the opportunity to learn something and be up to date with new technologies and new challenges.
We have news to share with you regarding the projects we are working on, remarking on the achievements accomplished thanks to the hard work of all those who made it happen.
Lucas Santana and Bruno Braga had the opportunity to join a summit week at Fund That Flip offices. During their immersion in the business, they gained a better understanding of the key areas where the team provides engineering support, as well as the challenges they face and their goals. This enabled the team to identify areas where they can help the client scale. Additionally, they had the opportunity to build a stronger relationship with Fund That Flip's team, enhancing rapport.
Keep it up guys! You are doing a great job! And thanks to Fund that Flip for keeping their doors open.

In this quarter the team launched the Merchant Portal. This portal is a front door to Liberta’s clients interested in getting the company's services. The clients access the portal to apply to Libertas, so they register on it, fill out a form with their data, and upload bank information, company names, etc. Later this information gets analyzed by Libertas experts who can then make requests, approve, send offers, etc.
Joining the launch to production of No Touch Workflow, it’s another step taken towards automating otherwise long, manual processes. Congratulations Team!! Keep rocking it!

Pro-ficiency
Quality assurance and automation testing are essential components of software development, and their importance cannot be overstated. By stressing the importance of automation testing at our client Pro-ficiency, Tomás Antón, an experienced Automation QA is helping to ensure that the software being developed meets the desired level of quality, functionality, and performance, and ultimately, satisfies the client’s requirements and expectations.
Tomas also helps in saving time and resources in the long run by reducing the need for manual testing and increasing the speed of the whole development process. It can also help to ensure that the software is compatible with different operating systems, browsers, and devices, which is especially important at Pro-ficiency, where the software may need to work across different platforms.
Keep up the good work Tomas!! Kudos!
We started working on some improvements in the DevOps department this year, working on Peer Review initiatives so that every DevOps can have a space for questions or validations with another peer.
Also, we started the AWS Partner Central journey, making progress on some AWS Certifications, courses, and information required in order to move forward to the next partnership level.
We started to discuss and plan some common use cases on the different projects, so we can work on unified solutions for current or future projects. So we don’t need to reinvent the wheel and guarantee we are using the best practices and tools to deliver infrastructure quality.
Please meet our team below Virgilio Jara, Tharles Freire, Wilmar Muñoz, Antonio Amoroso, Marcos Romeo, Vinicius Oliveira, and Diego Gallardo!
More and more people are participating and enjoying the meetings promoted by the Social Events initiative. In this quarter, White Prompt promoted things like getting together to share a beer, spend a day in a coworking space or have a lot of fun playing online games.
Diego Gallardo -do not confuse him with Sebastián Gallardo- now has double happiness in his family since January! Congratulations on the birth of your second child!

If you haven’t already, it will be very helpful if you add the 'Google Calendar' app to your Slack account to make sure you run events on time.
In this way, we avoid delays in the activities we must execute to do the payroll and billing on time.
Adding this app is very easy, follow the steps below:
You can also find and install apps from your workspace. Click on Apps in the left sidebar and browse the directory from there.
