Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ride Muni to School Week?

This year is the first annual Ride Muni to School Week event in San Francisco that encourages students and families to use Muni (and the yellow school bus) to get to school. It’s a great way to build community, protect the environment, and support travel safety at your school. Ride Muni to School Week is brought to you by a partnership between the SFMTA’s Safe Routes to School Program and SFUSD.

Throughout the week of March 3-7, students will compete to log the most transit rides and win prizes.

Why am I not getting a confirmation email when signing up?

We manually review each sign-up to improve site safety and privacy. Please allow up to 24 hours after sign-up for us to send you your log-in info. If you still haven’t received your log-in information after 24 hours, contact us at info@ridemunitoschool.org for support.

Can I log trips from a previous day?

No. Trips can only be logged from the current day.

Do I have to log all categories when counting a trip?

The only thing you have to log is the transit agency of your trip. However, by entering Route, Start and End Location, and Purpose you’re able to earn many more badges.

How do I earn badges?

A full list of badges can be viewed by clicking on the “See All Badges >>” in the “Badges Earned” section. When you click on a badge icon, pop-up text will appear explaining it’s earned.
