Drop off times - Works on the Whangaehu River Bridge

Over the next six weeks there will be traffic delays on SH3 at Whangaehu due to work on the bridge. As all three teachers travel from Whanganui there is a concern we may be delayed by these works in the mornings. For your child’s safety please remember that learners can arrive at school after 8:30am and please ensure there is at least one of the teachers cars in the car park before leaving your children at school.

Te Rūnanga Ākonga - Student Council

Sydney, Jack, Max, Oscar, Josie, Landon, Charlotte and Ethan have been chosen to represent, and share the ideas and voices of, all learners in the school. Each term these leaders will run a hui in Room 1 and Room 2 and gather all the ideas from learners and then meet with me to discuss the ideas and come up with actions.

Office Administrator - Mrs Catherine O’Neill

At the end of May we will farewell Mrs Catherine O’Neill, the school office administrator. On Thursday the 23rd of May at 10am there will be a farewell assembly followed by morning tea. Catherine has been a key part of the staffing team at Turakina School for many years and is valued for her professionalism and experience. We are in the process of employing a new office administrator.
