LOCATION:
Missouri Marksmanship Education Center

Visitors and spectators are welcome.
ELIGIBILITY:
All PPP athletes are encouraged to register and compete in the PPP National Championships. All competitors must be current SASP members. Match registration fees and insurance liability waivers will be collected within the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation's SHOT system. If you are not an SASP member through the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation, please register at https://app.sssfonline.com/register. When you register, you will pay a 1 time team fee of $10, which will go into your Midway USA Foundation Endowment.
We encourage all PPP competitors to compete in as many matches as possible prior to competing in the PPP National Championships. This builds competition experience and will be valuable to the competitor’s National Championship experience. Local club matches, postals, and CMP monthly matches are highly encouraged.
Competitors may participate in the PPP Nationals until they reach the year of their 21st birthday.
QUALIFYING:
Individuals
A parent, guardian or adult coach must accompany individuals under age 18. SSSF will not accept responsibility for minors traveling alone.
Teams
No additional team fees are collected. Teams may be declared at check in the day of competition. (Please note, you must register on the SSSF/SASP website as a competitor before the competition in order to be eligible to be on a team.) Team forms must be completed by the coach prior to the first record shot of competition.
ENTRY FEES AND REGISTRATION:
The individual fee will be $50 for this event. No additional Team Entry Fees.
Registration and payment for this event will be on the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation's SHOT tracking system. Coaches will create an account and build their team members at the following link: https://app.sssfonline.com/login

COURSE OF FIRE:
Competitors will shoot two match courses of 60 shots. One match course of 60 shots is fired each day.
Olympic-style elimination finals will be held for the top 8 male and top 8 female individuals based on two-day aggregate scores in the International Standing category. Finals will be held shortly after the last relay on the second day.
Finals winners will be announced. National Championship Overall winners and the SSSF Junior Squad selection will be determined by adding the 2 match scores and points for Finals finish. (1st place -8 points, progressing to 8th place -1 point)
Team totals will be based on the total of two-day match scores, not including finals.
COACHING:
Coaching on the firing line is only allowed in the Basic Supported and Standing Supported positions. However, coaches may not assist in shooting the shot.
Coaching assistance in the International (One-Handed) Standing position on the firing line will cease when the preparation period begins.
SQUADDING:
If possible, all team members will be squadded on the same relay except where team members share equipment. (Coaches, please schedule accordingly with match officials).
Relays will switch each day. Example: Relay A will shoot first relay on Day 1 and second relay on Day 2. Relay B will shoot second relay on Day 1 and first relay on Day 2.

National Championship Awards – Individual
National Championship awards will be determined by combining results from both days. In consideration of timeliness in compiling data, National Championship medals may be sent out after the matches.
Top competitors in each category will be awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze championship medals.
To be named Individual National Champion for the PPP National Championships a competitor must compete in the International Standing (standing, one handed, unsupported) category.
National Championship Awards -Team
The top three teams in each of the categories (Supported Position, Mixed Supported Position and International Standing Position) will receive championship medals.
NATIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPIC SQUAD
The National Champion in the Women’s International Standing category and the National Champion in the Men’s International Standing category will be named to the National Junior Olympic Pistol Squad. Select top athletes from the finals of both categories will also be invited to an elite training camp. Date TBA.
Current National Junior Pistol Team members are not eligible to be named to the National Junior Olympic Squad at this event. They are invited to compete for record.
The Championship awards ceremony will be held shortly following the finals. All teams and individuals are expected to participate in the awards ceremony to show sportsmanship and respect and to build camaraderie.
HOUSING:
Leaders/coaches/parents are expected to make their own housing arrangements.

Please note that the summer months are high tourist times and hotels/ AirBNB’s in the area book very early and fill up fast. Book as early as possible.
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION:
Parents and/or coaches are expected to provide ground transportation to the competition venue.
RULES:
The current 2025 Progressive Position Air Pistol Rules (effective Jan 1, 2025) will be used. With the exception that the 24 shot ISSF Finals format will be used.
