Week of Aug. 11

Our first week in 4th grade is over! We had a great week getting to know your kids and settling into the year. We also enjoyed meeting many of you on Tuesday! We spent the week setting up classroom norms, connecting with each other, and learning how to problem solve and think critically. We also completed some of our beginning of the year assessments. These scores will be shared with parents at conferences. They help us to create personalized learning plans for each student.

This week we will set-up expectations for and begin working on Math. We will also be graphing our first math fact test scores. Please look for these to come home in student’s LTE folders. These folders will live in student’s backpacks. Please check these folders for student’s completed work, important papers, etc.

We will also begin working on reading and writing next week as we get into our curriculum.

Standard dress begins Monday, August 14. Here is the information about standard dress if you have questions. Fridays are still free dress for kids! Standard Dress for LTE.

Please join us on Parent Information Night, this Thursday, August 17, where we will provide important information about our year. Our slideshow will be shared on our fourth grade website as well for your reference or if you are unable to attend.

Please check out LTE’s Community News for important updates.
