2026 ASCLS-OK VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE INFORMATION

Event/Fundraising Committee

Who do we need? All types! Emeritus, Professional, Ascending, Developing, and Community members of ASCLS. There will be 1 ASCLS-OK board liaison within this committee. If you’re interested in being the head of this committee, please indicate in our form. We are looking for people who love planning fun events and fostering community wellness.

What does the time commitment look like per year? Ideally, it would be meeting (online and hybrid) for a 2 hours once a month; with events that are developed throughout the year. Our main goal is to have 2 main fundraising events per year in Oklahoma.

What will we be doing? Planning and executing events and fundraisers throughout the year. Deciding on locations, budget planning for the events, and figuring out prizes for donors. You will also be creating community events to bring together other laboratorians outside of ASCLS and within ASCLS.

Social Media/Content Committee

Who do we need? Technically savvy people! If you enjoy using digitally creative ways to show how laboratory medicine can be fun and interesting - whether it be through words or graphics or video, this is the committee for you! There will be 1 ASCLS-OK board liaison within this committee.

What does the time commitment look like per year? 1-2 hours per month.

What will we be doing? We will create content for our Facebook, LinkedIn, and an upcoming digital newsletter within our ASCLS-OK Constituent Society. We will also assist with any events and fundraisers through advertising on our digital and analog platforms.
