Saturday September 22nd

8:00-11:00 Vendor and Tent Set up

Shuttles

Start - 10:00 Finish 4:00

To limit the amount of traffic on the day there will be volunteer shuttle drivers along with TransBC’s bike trailer.  Shuttles will leave approximately every hour.  Donations to KTS will go directly to trail maintenance and fuel for the day. (suggested donation $5 shuttle).

Shuttle Turn around will be 100m up from the staging area to limit traffic through the staging.

There will will also be shuttle passes for citizen drivers with the expectation that all vehicles going up the mountain are full.


Poker Enduro

Start 9::00 - Finish 1:00

A lighthearted enduro style race.  Only descents will be timed. Collect playing cards along the way.  Prizes for fastest times and best poker hand.  

First lap is a shuttle lap to the top of Snow Mexican.  ALL RIDERS HAVE THIS OPTION.

Full enduro is 1100m climbing, 22.5km

Short enduro is 700m, 13.5 km (No SWatSW

Nimby Kids Race

3:00 - 5:00

The format of this race is going to be a bit different and will be very friendly to riders of ALL SKILL LEVELS.

We will do two laps of NIMBY and the winners will be the individuals with the most consistent times of the two laps. The least time difference between two laps wins!  Parents are welcome to lead or follow their child down the course.  You will have TWO hours to complete TWO laps.  Shuttling and pedalling are both welcome.

Sunday September 23rd - Adventure Day

Trail Workshops

10:00-12:00

Groups will be shuttled up the mountain leaving from the base (base of trails, or KRC Basecamp?) at 10:00am.  Please be ready to ride with functioning bicycle by 10:00.  

Looking to step up your riding?  These workshop style rides will get you riding the new trails like the pros.  Ride down with like-minded people stopping, discussing and trying out the different features.  This is the best way to learn how to ride new types of terrain and improve riding skills without ever feeling like you are just trying to keep up.  All workshops will have a lighthearted, low pressure tone where riders will be encouraged to ride within their limits while learning new skills.  Full suspension bikes with no mechanical issues recommended for all trails.

Snow Mexican  (Advanced) - Mixed Learn to ride steeps and features

Perfect for riders who are confident throughout the rest of Kimberley’s trail network.

Atlas to PPP - Ladies only workshop on Atlas Shrugged

Pinch and Roll - Mixed learn to ride a technical blue trail and the berms and jumps of Nimby

Perfect for riders who enjoy trails like Magic line and Thunder Turkey and want to try something slightly more advanced.

Hike - Bootleg Knoll Summit hike from upper cut block

Lead Volunteer - Lou Bedard

Description - A moderate hike up from the last switch back on Bootleg to a beautiful ridge overlooking the Bootleg drainage, Purcell Mountains and the Rocky Mountain Trench.  The views get better the higher you get. Approximately 6km round trip and 380m elevation gain.

What to Bring - Minimum 3L of water, snacks for a 4 hour hike, warm layer. We will need a few people to drive up to the top parking.  Trucks are ideal.
