Officers will begin application process and keep membership posted.
Sheets are updated and located in the back at EVERY meeting, encourage new members to sign up. Each committee is expected to identify a topic for the the newspaper (Spirit of Jefferson)

Two gentlemen have reached out and offered to write an article, they are professional writers and veterans. They have experience writing military articles.

Update on Parade Committee
Joslyn updates Group: Fundraising car wash raised $437.00, Event committee is working on key points such as changing the name of the parade from Annual Parade to Inaugural Parade. The theme is red, white and blue, no candy 2nd car wash scheduled for July 28 from 8 to 1. A local landscaping company has volunteered to come out and wash cars. Next fundraiser will be Saturday Aug 25th table at WalMart in Spring Mills. Concerto Technologies has a parking lot that CVEB may be able to utilize and set up information tables on parade day. Jamille has set up a GO FUND ME page. Ideas such as CVEB Shirts for fundraising. Event committee still working on getting the invite list out, please reach out to event committee to add people to invite list. In regards to sponsorship, (Gold, platinum and Silver) with each level offering different perks.
Parade Response letter from Charles Town
CVEB received letter from City of Charles Town denying the parade request due to understaffing and lack of resources
Member has access to an individual whom has an entire garage of medical items, wheelchairs, crutches, etc.
Kathleen Stotler spoke in regards to a legal resource a law clinic free of charge

Peter Christensen:OJT Program, OJT is a method of providing individualized occupational skills training for Dislocated Workers and Low Income Adults. The goal of the OJT program is to place participants in occupations that will enhance their prospects for long-term employment. Through this program, businesses will be reimbursed a minimum of 50% of the new employee’s wages up to $6,000.00, while they are in training. Also has Youth Services. The Region VII Workforce Development Board can provide services to at-risk youth ages 14-24. To be an eligible youth you must meet the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act guidelines and meet at least one of the following barriers:Deficient in basic literacy skills,
Dan Glock Commander Tri State Based Submarine Veteran Non profit organization meets second saturday of each month, offers to make contact with someone at the paper to announce CVEB meeting dates and times. Presents CVEB with check for $500.00 donation for parade
