LIT Job Descriptions
Level 1 Roles: “I’m curious, and want to explore where I could fit in.”
- Shadow- Works alongside another volunteer member to observe their job role
- Project Support- Assists with a short term ministry project as a meaningful way of becoming familiar with the ministry
- Hospitality- Provides hospitality (snacks, refreshments, paper products, check in/ sign in) for events/ gatherings as a meaningful way of becoming familiar with the ministry
- Gathering Assistant- Attends ministry gatherings and helps where needed as a meaningful way of becoming familiar with the ministry
Level 2 Roles: “I’m willing, and only have a limited amount of time that I can offer.”
- Event Drivers- Adults who are cleared to drive and can offer their cars for transportation
- Event Chaperones- Adults who are Safe Environment cleared and willing to chaperone isolated events
- Project Leads- Manages special parish projects asked of the ministry (such as Holy Triduum services, Transitus, etc.)
- Young Adult Ministry Liason- A member of the Young Adult Ministry who is attentive to the continuity between the ministry and Young Adult Ministry, plans particular ministry aspects in collaboration with the ministry, and can support teens in transitioning to Young Adult Ministry
- Project Support- Assists the Project Leads as needed in fulfilling the project responsibilities
- Intercession Coordinator- Mobilizing individuals or communities to pray for those involved in the ministry
Level 3 Roles: “I’m committed, and want to be a consistent presence within the ministry.”
- Wednesday Night Admin- Attends Wednesday night gatherings to collect paperwork, money, and keep track of attendance
- Sunday Admin- Attends Sunday gatherings to collect paperwork, money, and keep track of attendance
- Fundraiser Coordinator- Manages the success of ministry fundraisers
- Small Group Leader- Attends (Wed or Sun) gatherings to be a meaningful presence to the teens, to support the presenters, to foster relationships, and to lead small groups
- Content Presenter- Leads gatherings and presents the content
- Supplies Coordinator- Keeps track of ministry needs and inventory, arranges for its acquisition
Level 4 Roles: “I’m invested, and want to take part in the leadership of the ministry.”
- Overall Ministry Development Coordinator- Looks ahead to the future of the ministry in all aspects- spiritually, financially, sustainability- and creates plans for its well being
- Group Communications- Communicates to ministry members
- Parent Communications- Communicates to parents
- Parish Communications- Communicates to both the parish staff and to parishioners
- Team Communications- Communications to ministry team volunteers
- Content Developer- Determines the content of gatherings
- Social Media Communications- Upkeeps social media platforms, including the parish and ministry website
- Treasurer- Maintains the ministry finances
- Branding & Marketing Coordinator- Provides those in communications roles with the proper branding (Colors, logos, etc.), provides for any design needs, ensures branding, helps purchase swag
- Donor Relations- Maintains relationships with ministry donors and seeks to obtain more donors
