Internship Title: Warehouse Associate  

Shift Times and Hours Per Week: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week  

Internship Position Description: Assists in shipping activities for organization; receives, stores, and  distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the required  duties.  

Internship Responsibilities: Prepares freight for shipping on pallets. Prepares shipping labels for  product shipments (UPS, Fed-Ex, etc.) Prepares paperwork for invoices received from document  manager. Ensures invoices against products received are in the correct location. Prepares paperwork  (BOL’s, Waybills, etc.) for domestic and international freight. Communicates with other departments to  ensure customer shipment satisfaction. Obtains freight quotes from carriers and ensures best prices.  Communicates with freight carriers to help settle damaged freight claims Reads customer order, sample  order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or  distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas.  Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence as  size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, sample orders, or requests for materials, tools,  or other stock items and distributes items to sales and marketing. Marks materials with identifying  information. Reads and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts  items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards. Uses computer to  enter records. Maintains inventory records. Issues and maintains basic data of the data system.  

Internship Required Skills: Time management, excellent communication and teamwork, work ethic,  prompt and regular attendance  

Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma, CED coursework
Additional Requirements: Must have reliable transportation  

Minimum Age to Apply: 18  

Approximate Start and End Date: Start - June 15, 2024; End - August 15, 2024  
Pay: $16.00 per hour
