Well, this is it: The final post here at moviejeff.com (actually the movie review show dot blogspot dot com but that’s another story all together). This was starting to feel like a job and I have one of those, so I figured Episode 800 was as good a time as any to hang it up. It’s been fun, y’all!

But — ALAS! — I won’t be fully retiring from the film critique biz. I started a new tumblr page (lol) at cinemacentral666 where the saga will continue sans podcast. I’m also keeping my letterboxd and youtube pages active. But everything is going to be WAY more casual, even though I still aim to deliver multiple posts daily. I feel very at peace with this decision. So follow me over there if ya have any interest.

I got inspired to watch this after seeing the incredible short film, Six Shooter… and it did not disappoint. This one feels like an all-timer and a great/fitting note to end the show on. Just a phenomenal screenplay that hits all the right notes and beats, and manages to be jam-packed with metaphors without being annoying (a tall task for a film that also succeeds on the surface as a purely fun crime thriller/dark comedy hybrid).

Part of my new working M.O. going forward is going to be not rambling on when I don’t feel inspired to do so, and not belaboring on critiques out of some weird sense of duty. So I’ll just leave it at that: 10/10 no notes.
