Data Sharing Terms – Non Personal Datasets

These terms apply to the sharing and processing of Non Personal datasets within the

made available by the Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education (TIDE) group of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) to the person downloading the data set (“Transferee”) identified by requesting access to the dataset through Zenodo.

UPF is owner of the dataset shared hereunder, and may be contacted at: tide-info@upf.edu Please send a copy of any communications to davinia.hernandez-leo@upf.edu

  1. Shared data

  1. The dataset shared hereunder (“Shared Dataset”) is the following:

Dataset identification

(students, etc.)

The analysis of data in this document is focused on investigating teacher and student conceptualizations of data sharing risks. The study has been conducted within the context of a research project, “Communities of Teaching as a data‐informed design science and contextualized practice” (CoT, funded by RecerCaixa), in which both teacher and student participants were asked to share data, such as the designs of their learning activities, their opinion (e.g. using questionnaires) or their actions tracked by a community platform, and learning design and enactment tools. The objective of the project is to study how this data can be used to support learning design community awareness (Michos & Hernández-Leo, 2018) and teacher-led inquiry into their student’s learning (Michos, Hernández-Leo, & Albó, 2018) so teachers can iteratively improve their teaching practices.  The data have been collected via questionnaires with open and closed questions:

Initial questionnaire (teachers): Prior to their participation in the CoT workshops, teachers from two educational centers were given questionnaires to better understand how they were managing student data and conceptualizing data sharing risks in the context of responsibly managing student data.

Final questionnaire (teachers): After participating in the CoT workshops, teachers were given questionnaires to better understand how their conceptualizations of responsible data management (e.g. collection, analysis, and sharing) changed.

Questionnaire (students): Students from two educational centers were given questionnaires (with open and closed questions) to better understand how they were managing their own data and conceptualizing data sharing risks in the context of responsibly managing data.
