Operational Conditioning Worksheet

Respond to the following questions to modify undesirable into desirable behavior:

1.        Write down the undesirable behavior you would like to modify.

 Example

2.        Write down the Pros and Cons of the undesirable behavior.

E.g.: One Pro of shouting: “Everyone listens to me”

        One Con of shouting: “No one likes me”

Generate at least 3 pros and cons by reviewing the example given above.

3.        To what extent are you motivated to bring change? Rate on a scale of 0-10 (0= Not motivated at all)

(10= Highly Motivated)

4.        Intervention: What could be done to substitute behavior?

E.g. Take a deep breath when you have an urge to shout etc.

5.        Write the time you will require to change the habit.

E.g. Two weeks

6.        List down the reward (s) you will give yourself for modifying the behavior. Example: Going to the movies with a friend.
