2021 Membership Dues

It’s time to renew your membership. Brian Patch sent out an information packet in the mail. If you did not receive one or have questions regarding membership, please contact Brian at (719) 989-0208 or brianpch@msn.com. If mail and paperwork aren’t your things, maybe it would be easier for you to complete our membership form online. Mike Peters will be creating and issuing membership cards. The information we collect is used to keep you informed. We will use all forms of communication, i.e., mail, texting, and email. What kind of info do you ask? Tournament schedules, clubhouse specials, board meetings, etc.

Monthly Board Meeting

Last Tuesday of every month at 4:30 PM at the clubhouse.

Course Re-opens to the Public

The course reopened to the public in March. The course is open when the temperature is above 32 degrees. Hours are 10 AM - 6 PM. To protect the greens, members and the public are expected to comply.

The Clubhouse

The restaurant and bar operators are Karen Wilson and Mike Peters of P & W Ventures Inc DBA Second Street Bar & Grill. Mike is the General Manager and handles the day-to-day operations. The restaurant will open on May 1st. We are hiring! We need cooks and servers.

Beer on tap! We bought a kegerator. Which beers should we have on tap (4)?

We purchased a PA system so we can host karaoke. We bought two dartboards that will be set up outside. We also purchased three cornhole sets.

Golf Lessons Available

Mike Wine is a local pro who is offering lessons. Know anyone who’s just getting started? Call Mike at (720) 403-691.

Patio Enclosure Update

The new patio enclosure will be complete by May. Most of the funds for this project were awarded from a grant.

55 Years of Golf Celebration

The golf course is celebrating 55 years! We are hosting a tournament on June 12.

2021 Golf Fees, Cart & Range Ball Passes

We have changed our green and cart fees for 2021. Nine holes are now $18, and eighteen is $30. A cart is now $12 for nine and $15 for eighteen per person. Cart passes and range passes are available to purchase in the clubhouse.

Green’s Maintenance Schedule

Starting the first week of April, Bruce and Tom will be working carts and shift their focus to the greens.

Course Rules

The following bullet list outlines some of the rules that we need to enforce to maintain the course in good condition and to ensure the safety of all golfers:

Use of personal carts is limited to the primary member and their spouse, child living in their house over the age of 12, or cart partner. If your cart partner is not your spouse, we need to know when you pay your membership.
Check-in at the clubhouse before you start your round. The new operators want to know who our members are to keep non-members from jumping onto the course without paying.
Colorado State law prohibits bringing personal alcoholic beverages onto the course. Several members have abused this law, and the WGA risks losing its liquor license if violations continue.
Driving onto the greens or the collars of the greens can damage the course. Driving any cart past a cart sign close to the green requires a handicap flag. Even with a flag, please be considerate of the course for other players.
With the increased play on the course, it is disruptive to jump around other players without first asking their permission. Please be courteous of all other golfers, even if they are playing slow.

In addition to the existing rules, the Board feels it is necessary to implement penalties for violations of the policies and laws.

Violations of policies and/or abuse of the course will be grounds for sanctioning measures, including suspension of membership for periods to be determined by the Board up to and including revocation of membership.

Due to the increase in play on our course, the Board is implementing a new requirement

for members.

All players are required to schedule a TEE TIME ON WEEKENDS from MEMORIAL DAY TO LABOR DAY.
