Dear Sir / Madam,

Peoples Health and Development (PHD) trust is registered charitable trust working in the field of health and development since last seven years. The organization is committed for upliftment of the health status by capacity building of various cadres of health personnel. In this context we are introducing a new short course, “EPIDEMIOLOGY, BIOSTATISTICS AND RESEARCH METHODS” for professionals who wish to have basic training in the subject. After the training the professionals can use the data effectively and interpret meaningfully. You know this is the subject in which very few trained personnel are available.  

The first course was conducted in april 2006 which was highly appreciated even by state & district level government officers whi came from all over Gujarat. For second batch it will be held from 10 -12 July, 2008.(Thursday to Saturday.)

The course fee for early birds is Rs. 2,000 per person till July 1, 2008. The acceptance of nomination/participation will be communicated latest by July 5, 2008. Spot Registration fee is Rs. 2,500. The fee includes material cost, break-fast, lunch, dinner and simple accommodation. Course Description:

This course is designed for health professionals who wish to have basic training in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Research Methodology. The course focuses on the principles of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, their practical applications for investigation of Public Health problems, Planning, Implementation and evaluation of intervention.

 

Faculty:

 Experience faculty of Academic institutes & voluntary organizations  will conduct the course with full involvement of participants.

Method: 

Real life case studies along with various exercises will be used for better understanding. Hands on training with computer & field visit will enrich the training.
