QNSC Free Art Supply Closet

QNS Collaborative’s goal is to make creativity more accessible by receiving, sorting, and making available art supplies for pickup by community members. Currently we are revamping our shopping experience, but we are still accepting donations.
QNSC will accept new or gently used supplies from the following categories:
- Art & Craft - pencils, colored pencils, markers, drawing pens (please no basic or branded pens), erasers, sharpeners, acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolor paints, paintbrushes, clean canvases, pastels, charcoal, crafting clay, ink and ink pads, printmaking tools, calligraphy tools, hand tools, scissors, cutting mats, beads + jewelry making supplies, art storage containers, cigar boxes, faux flowers & plants
- Fibers - thread, knitting + crochet tools, sewing needles, aida cloth, fabric (larger than 10" x 10", no scraps), elastic, zippers, leather, pins, lace, hemp, embroidery floss, rotary cutters, scissors, stencils, yarn, patterns (complete set), vintage and modern notions and tools
- Stationary - watercolor paper, craft paper, scrap booking paper, wallpaper (samples or small rolls), sketchbooks, notebooks, stationery, envelopes , post-it notes, glue, tape, memo books, rulers, cards, stamps, stickers, ink pads
- Books - art related books, (mostly unused) coloring books, sewing books, vintage books + maps, collage materials, craft related magazines, handmade books and zines
- If you don’t see your item on this list and would like to donate, please contact us at hello@queenscollaborative.com and we can discuss the potential donation.
QNSC cannot accept anything from the following list:
- Holiday decorations, holiday specific books, or anything "Christmas" related
- Home Linens, towels, sheets, drapes or tablecloths
- Anything toxic, combustible or hazardous (excluding spray paints and spray glue)
- Anything with mold or mildew, especially pertaining to fabric and yarn
- Books—except for art and craft-related books. We ask that you please place books in our local Little Free Libraries.
- Clothing and clothing hangers of any kind
- Furniture or House paint
- Anything broken or needing repair, especially sewing machines
- Anything that requires more than one person to carry
