Great job to these Panther Pride Award Winners:

Awa Mbodji, Peyton Main, & Emlyn Laughrey!

Good job to all of our teams who played last night!  Congratulations to our JV Girls Basketball team who pulled out an exciting, close, down-to-the buzzer win!  While our varsity girls basketball and football teams didn’t win their games, they all played hard.  Losing is never fun, but it’s the way we handle adversity and defeat that shapes our character.  We can choose our response to loss:  be hard on ourselves and think about every mistake we made, or learn from the mistakes, work hard to improve ourselves, and do our best in everything we do.  Hold your heads up high, Panthers!  We will keep improving!

Happy birthday to Mrs. Meeker!

Great job to this Panther Pride Award Winner:

Sam Riggs!

Students & Staff,

We had a great first day of school!  Thank you to everyone who showed patience, courage, and determination to make the day go smoothly.  Let’s continue to work together to make this a great week as we learn new routines, procedures, and build relationships.

Students, with lots of new supplies, please take some time to talk with your teachers to determine what you will need in class daily and what you can leave at home and bring to school for special projects (or for use later as you run out of supplies - example - keep a few pencils in your locker, but leave the 24 pk at home, and bring extra when you need them).  Also, consider bringing a backpack that is smaller and easier to fit in your locker.  When putting backpacks in lockers, be sure the straps are toward the back so they don’t get caught in the lockers.  Take time to organize your locker and keep it neat.

If you wish to request a change in elective and/or apply to be an elementary teachers’ assistant, please see Mrs. Martinez in the Commons at 11:30 (after you finish eating your lunch).  She will have forms and explain the process.

Middle School Sports begin this week.  Students must have a physical on file and forms filled out on Skyward to practice.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Martinez.

Students, welcome back to school!  Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for a great school year.  This year will be excellent, but we need your help in order to accomplish this goal.  If each of us brings our best self to school each day, rested and ready to learn & teach and be caring, responsible people, we will all enjoy this school year and learn much together.

A few reminders for students and staff today:
