Dear students, I invite you to walk through the "French spirit", to discover it and to handle it in your turn.
We will tackle various socio-historical and cultural items in order to explore this spirit which is characterized by its paradoxes: Cartesian rigor and insolence; hedonism and insurrection; rigor of an ultra-normative language and childish or learned puns... a joyful mixture which will allow you to approach various methodologies as well as to review thorny grammar points and enrich your vocabulary, while discovering moments, works and key characters who contributed to forge a culture full of contrasts.
