Dear AESD Families,

As we step into another week of learning and growth, I'd like to extend my appreciation to all of our students who participated in last week's Music and Arts Festival. Witnessing their outstanding performances filled me with immense pride. I extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated music teachers for their tireless efforts in nurturing our students' love for music and the arts here at AESD.

In the spirit of recognition and appreciation, I would like to highlight significant occasions taking place this week:

National Principal Appreciation Day on May 1st: 
This day offers us a wonderful opportunity to honor and celebrate the hard work of our school principals. Their leadership, passion, and commitment to our students, staff and families is truly admirable and we are grateful to them for their tireless dedication to creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment for students to thrive in.

School Lunch Heroes Day on May 3rd:
On this day, we celebrate the incredible dedication and hard work of our cafeteria staff who ensure that our students are nourished and ready to learn each day. Their behind-the-scenes efforts are invaluable, and we are grateful to them for providing nutritious meals to our students.

School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day - May 7, 2024

Join us in expressing our sincere gratitude to our exceptional school crossing guards! Their presence safeguards our students and we are so grateful to them for keeping our students and families safe.

CA Day of the Teacher - May 8, 2024

Join us in honoring the dedicated educators who work so hard with our students each day. Their passion and commitment is truly inspiring. Let’s recognize their invaluable efforts on this special day.

National School Nurse Day - May 8, 2024

Let's extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible school nurses on May 8th! Their compassionate care and dedication ensures the health and well-being of our students. Join us in celebrating their invaluable contributions to our school community.

Summer Fun Learning Day Camps Available for all AESD TK-5th Grade Students:
Registration is now open through the Anaheim Achieves YMCA Day Camps. These camps are funded through ELOP/ASES grants and are free of charge for all AESD TK-5th grade students. The registration deadline for both camps is May 17, 2024. More information can be found here:
