Cornell Small Farms Continuing Education Courses Open
If you want to enhance your business and technical skills to progress toward your farming goals, consider joining one of our online courses during the live instruction season beginning this fall.
Select from a wide variety of topics, including everything from crop and livestock production to business management and personal wellbeing. We also offer a growing selection of courses conducted in Spanish. Each course is instructed by a member of our team of experienced farmers, extension educators, and agricultural service providers.
Registration is open now for all courses. Instruction for the first block, listed below, begins next week!
Farmer Self-Care Award
If you are a farmer or rancher operating in the contiguous United States, including all U.S territories, have an annual farming income of $1000 or more, and have never received a Real Farmer Care self-care award before, you are eligible to apply for the next round of grants. This funding supports a self-care need such as therapy, wellness treatments, family outings, and more. Learn more and apply.
Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant Program
Grants from $100,000 to $500,000 increase the availability of local foods in Child Nutrition Program operations and connect students to the sources of their food through education, taste tests, school gardens, field trips, and local food sourcing for Child Nutrition Program meals. Grants can be used to launch new programs or expand existing efforts.
