New to the school - or just new to the auction? Need an auction refresher?  The FAQs below should help to clarify anything you want to know about our annual auction!

Why do we have an auction?

What is the auction?

There are two parts, the Online Auction and the Live Auction & Party:

I -  The Online Auction - March 15- March 29

II -  Live/Silent Auction and Party

Is it fun?

Yes! The auction is A BLAST. Parent volunteers transform the gym into a really delightful party space and parents/ teachers get to eat, drink, and chat - and, of course, bid!  And there will be DANCING!

Do I have to bid on items and spend money?

Bidding is absolutely optional. Of course we welcome your bids but there is no pressure! Having you at the party is wonderful!

Will there be food at the auction?

Yes!! Beer, wine, hors d’oeuvres and a buffet dinner are included in your $40.

Should I get dressed up?

We think it's fun to get a little dressed up once in a while  - but it’s totally up to you! Some like to dress a little fancier and others opt for a more casual vibe.

Where is the auction?

In the gym at Adams, on the second floor.

Who can come?

All Oyster-Adams parents, teachers and staff are invited, of course. And we welcome friends, extended families, and alums. Because alcohol is being served, All guests should be at least 21 years old to attend the auction.

How much does it cost?

Tickets are $40 per person if you buy them beforehand on the website and $50 at the door. You can also sponsor a teacher’s attendance for $30. Remember – for that price, you get drinks, dinner and a great night out! When completing your registration online, you will be able to enter the credit card you want to use to pay for the items you win online and at the event. Please save your information - it is safely vaulted in our system and will make the payment and check in/out process a breeze! Once you complete this process, you will receive a confirmation email and bidding number.

What if I can’t afford a ticket?

We want everyone to come to the auction! We have a limited number of needs based tickets. Please, reach out to Ms. Martin to request.

What if I can’t make it to the event?

If you can’t attend, we hope you’ll consider donating to our “The World is my Oyster” special fund or being an auction sponsor! And of course bid online starting March 15th!
