Academic

There is homework lab this week!  Tutors are available to help you any day (except Friday). Schedule time with a tutor at the library circulation desk anytime.

Attention Senior Class: If you have not ordered your cap and gown,Jostens will be on campus on Wednesday, May 8th in the gym lobby during both lunches. They will be delivering the last shipment of February orders. Please bring your student ID to pick up your order.  If you have not ordered your cap and gown, Jostens will have extras for sale on this day for $55 cash only (first come, first serve).

Athletics 

On April 27th MdN football will be hosting a FREE youth camp from 9am-12pm for ALL 6th-8th graders! See Coach Fig with any questions.

Best of luck to our softball team tomorrow morning as they face Coconino high school for their first playoff game. Go padres!!

Activities

It's Prom Season! Juniors & Seniors, come join us and DJ Melona at SoHo 63 on May 11 from 7-10pm. Tickets are 45 dollars until Friday. Get them before the sale ends! Guest passes are available in the office and must be completed before you can purchase your guest's ticket, both tickets need to be purchased at the same time.

A huge congratulations to all of the students nominated for Prom Royalty. Student Council would now like to present the Top 5 Prom Court representatives!

The Princess nominees are: Cruzita Armenta, Adanna Robinson, Izabelle Vega, Grace Vullo and Putu Widiyanti.

The Prince nominees are: Halen Davidson, Jay'von Gould, Jullien Jones, Hadino Nugroho, Z'Yiidee Rivera Murillo.

The Queen nominees are: Anahii Castillo, Mariah Estrella, Paityn Lutostanski, Cassandra Medina and Hannah Watkins.

The King nominees are: Adan Estrada, Faustino Hernandez, Jamari Johnson, Joseph Lara and Christopher Villamar Marcial

There will be a meeting for the Top 5 students on Monday, 4/29 during your lunch in room 303 with Ms. Morrissey. Please check in with her sometime today to confirm.

Explore the excitement of "Feeling" by coming to the Marcos de Niza Spring Dance Show. The show will take place Thursday May 2nd and Friday May 3rd, at 7:00pm, in the Mountain Pointe High School Auditorium. You can purchase tickets at the bookstore and at GoFan.co. The Padre Pride Marching Band is excited to welcome you to join our family! Come to the band room Monday April 29th for some special pre-season training and see why band is the place for you. Camp will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm each, no prior experience is necessary. Come to the band room or reach out to Mr. Willers if you have any questions!

Last Night Sister Cities Tempe had their annual Art Competition at the Hackett House and Marcos de Niza had two winning artists! Congratulations to Arianah Trujillo! Her work, "Sunset at the Park" won second place and Ari received $100! In addition, Rebekah Hopkins won Special Recognition and $25 for her digital artwork, "Difference One Tree at a Time"
