Mr. Michael Bose joined the administration team this semester as the fourth Assistant Principal.

Bose is new to Lincoln High, but has been looking at the area for quite some time.

“So we are looking at moving here and I wanted to get into the community and find some work before we moved,” Bose said.

One thing that surprised Bose about LHS is how clean students like to keep the campus.

“One thing that is different is that the students like to keep this place clean and I really haven’t seen very big messes like I’ve seen at other schools where I worked,” Bose said.

However, Bose does see some issues at LHS that he hopes to address.

“The only thing I’d like to see,” Bose said. “I notice a lot of kids are late to class and I have noticed there’s been some attendance issues.”

Although this is Bose's first year at LHS, he has about 30 years of teaching experience.

“After being a teacher for a while I was called a dean,” Bose said. “Then I became an instructional coach, and then an assistant principal, then a principal,”

With Bose’s years of experience, staff has said he’s been a big help around the office.

“We can give him things and tasks and don’t have to worry about him not understanding what to do, he just goes and gets it done,” said Assistant Principal, Mr. Jason Brandt.

He does quite a bit in his free time when he’s away from work.

“In my free time I like to play video games and I like to cook and just kinda hang out around my yard,” Bose said.

But with that free time also comes new hobbies to fail and learn at.

“I tried to learn guitar recently, but I’m not any good at it,” Bose said. “So, I have to decide if I’m gonna keep being bad at it or find something different.”

Another one of Bose's hobbies is reading.

“I like to find a nice quiet shady spot and read a good book,” Bose said.

One thing Bose is certain about is being fair. This applies to his home life and his work here at LHS..

“Even when I’m dealing with my own kids or students here or staff,” Bose said. “I always try very hard to at least be fair.”
