1. Using a piece of paper that is perfectly square, fold it in half to make a triangle.

2. Place your triangle on the table so the two wider points are at the top and one point is pointing to you.

3. Take the top two corners and fold them down to make ears. (Or you can fold them up)

4. Take the point that is pointing to you and fold it up just a tiny bit.

5. Take the bottom portion of the project and fold it up about half way to make a snout.

5. Draw eyes, a nose, a mouth, a tongue, and other details. Color your dog.

6. Take a photo of your dog and email it to me @ tessa.vanravenswaay@k12.sd.us or to Ms. Brunick @ mary.brunick@k12.sd.us

2. Fold the paper in half hamburger style.

3. Fold the paper in half hamburger style again.

4. On the small piece of folded up paper, draw 2 half circles. ( it should look like the letter “C” and a backwards “C”)

5. Cut along the half circles, making sure they st have a different kind of face, color neatly

Thankful Hearts

Ms. Tessa's Instructional Video

1. Fold a sheet of paper in half.

2. On the folded edge, draw half of a heart shape. While the paper is folded, cut on the drawn line to make a cutout heart.

3. Place the cutout heart on a new sheet of paper. Color on the edges of the cutout and extend the coloring on to the new piece of paper. Once you’ve colored around the whole cutout, remove the template. Fill the rest of the page with color and / or decorations.

4. Inside the heart, write a note of gratitude to all of the members of our community that you are thankful for during this time.

5. Email a photo of your art to me @ tessa.vanravenswaay@k12.sd.us or to mary.brunick@k12.sd.us if Ms. Brunick is your teacher.

Wild Kratts Earth Day

Discuss with adults or siblings about why you think Paisley Paver and Rex are trying to pave all over nature.  What are your thoughts about this?

  1. Use basic shapes to draw the profile of a rabbit. (Head, ears, chest) This part of your drawing should fill most of the page.
  2. Give your rabbit details. (a face, inside of ears, a bow)

  1. Using things around your home, that have 1 and 2 sounds,  create a rhythm. (Pickle-2 sounds, milk-1 sound)
  2. Remember to clap the object name to find how many sounds it has.
  3.  Use 4 objects, place them in a row. Practice clapping and saying the sounds or syllables of each.
  4. Clap it for a friend or family member
  5. Example:
  1. Ball, fork, apple, bread
  1. Using a piece of paper, write your pattern down using quarter notes (one sound) and eighth notes (two sounds).  
  2. Sing “Down by the Bay” for someone or a stuffed animal
