From the Headteacher
I hope you all had a restful half term and are ready for the busiest yet most exciting term in the academic year.
I would like to welcome Denise Reid to our office team. Denise will be working Thursdays and Fridays.
I would also like to thank Sammy McIntyre, who has been covering full time in the office in order to allow the school the time to find the right person. Sammy will now work Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Congratulations to Alfie Coles, Portia Beard and Celina Schurrman who won the k’nex car challenge before half term. They will have their names written on the tail fin of the Super Sonic Car when it attempts to beat the land speed record in South Africa to go over 1000mph.
E-Safety Sessions for Parents and children (Y4-6)
Parents and their children from Year 4, 5 and 6 are invited (and encouraged!) to attend an E-Safety learning event on Wednesday 15th November from 5.30pm - 6.30pm. Last term's E-Safety training raised a number of important issues that parents and children need to be aware of in order to keep safe online, and we have invited Matt Lovegrove from Engage ESafety back to explore these further. We are keen for families to learn together, and Esafety will be a key theme in Anti-Bullying Week that starts on 13th November. We will send out a signup sheet closer to the date. We look forward to seeing you there. Please see poster here
The current lunch menu can be found here
We will be selling Poppies again this year, they will be available from outside the School Office after school from Wednesday 1st November.
This year we have Wristbands, Friendship bracelets, Reflectors and Snap Bands as well as the traditional Poppies.
We are also taking old pound coins for donations
Uniform is now on sale outside the office. This will be on sale until the 3rd November

Clive Goddard - Children’s Author
On 22nd Nov Clive Goddard, an entertaining children's author, will be hosting an assembly for children in Y4 - 6 from 2pm. Parents are invited to come along and see what the children get up to n- it promises to be an engaging session! Clive will be discussing his books - the Fintan Fedora series (3 books) about a boy explorer. Clive also illustrated the successful Horribly Famous series.
The author visit is free to the school but Clive relies on book sales to fund his session. We would encourage parents to get involved to support the reading experience for their child. If you would like to purchase one of the books for your child, please stay after assembly or come into school from 3pm when teachers will open the bottom door. Clive will personally sign your child's copy and dedicate it to your child. The poster for the event can be found here.
We are looking forward to the visit!
