International Solidarity Letter – Calling on the United States to Ratify the UNCRC and Stop Endangering Children in Conflict

To the Government and People of the United States of America:

We, members of the international community, write to express our deep concern and collective call to action regarding two critical failures that have far-reaching consequences for children and civilians around the world:

1. The United States remains the only country on Earth that has not ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Demand a full Congressional review of recent military actions, including the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, and demand restoration of Congress’s authority over war powers.

 Share this truth with others. The more people who know, the more pressure builds.

We are now witnessing the result: an explosion of child murder, trauma, trafficking, and suffering around the world, from Gaza to Sudan to our own border facilities.

I call on you to support the full ratification of the UNCRC and to publicly champion it as a moral obligation of the United States.

Stop Escalation of War and Hold Trump Accountable

The recent airstrikes ordered by Donald Trump on Iranian nuclear sites mark a dangerous precedent for unchecked executive military action. These strikes could trigger devastating retaliation and pull our nation — and the world — deeper into senseless violence.

Our country must not become a launching pad for wars rooted in ego and ideology, especially when they:

• Violate the spirit of diplomacy and international law
• Risk global destabilization
• Endanger the lives of innocent civilians, especially women and children
• Reflect no Congressional consensus or public approval

I urge you to:

• Call for an immediate Congressional inquiry into Trump’s unilateral military actions
• Introduce or support legislation to restrict unauthorized use of force
• Reassert the constitutional authority of Congress over declarations of war

The children of this world are not political collateral.

They are sacred lives. And the world is watching how the United States responds — or remains silent.
