$125 entry fee includes Big Bass Pot & a meal for the competitors fishing the event!!!

Weigh in begins at 3:00pm

This will be a trailering event & any launch within the boundaries detailed below can be used on tournament day. All teams must check in at Belle River Public launch & have their livewell checked as well as trolling motor flagged before proceeding to their desired launch site. No fishing before 6 a.m. with fishing ending at 3 p.m.  Team must be checked in at tournament headquarters no later than 4 p.m.!!

If launching on the Basin/Spillway side you cannot go South of Highway 90 and must stay within the levees.

If launching on the East/Verret side you cannot go South of Highway 90.

Tournament Rules:

1. Federal, state and local laws and regulations may not be violated.

2. All fish must be taken with rod and reel and artificial lures. Trolling will not be permitted.

3. Contestants will fish in one or two-man teams from the same boat. Adult partner must accompany children under 16.

4. Only five (5) largemouth or spotted bass per team may be weighed in. Only fish measuring twelve (12) inches or more may be weighed. Fish will be measured on a Golden Rule. There will be a one pound penalty per each undersized fish and 0.25 pound penalty for each dead fish.

5. Entry fee will be $125 per boat/team. Trailering event but must check in starting at 4:00 a.m. at Belle River Public Launch for livewell check.  Fishing waters will be limited to north of Hwy 90 on both the Lake Verret side & inside the levees on the west side (Basin). First cast is 6:00 a.m. & fishing must stop at 3:00 p.m. Each boat must be checked in by 4:00 p.m.  Must be in line to weigh fish by 4:30 p.m.

6. A contestant is not permitted to fish nearer than 50 yards to any other boat that is tied or anchored, unless permission has been granted. All angling must be done from boat. The boat must remain in the tournament waters during tournament day.  No fishing in posted or gated waters. All waters fished must be assessable to all contestants. All winners are subject to polygraph testing. Failure or refusal of polygraph will result in forfeiture of all prizes.

7. Plowing wakes in landing areas is prohibited.

8. All contestants must wear Coast Guard approved life vest when combustion engine is in gear.

9. A catch and release program will be in effect. All fish must be brought to the scales in a bag of water. All fish will become the property of the tournament directors to be released.

10. All contestants must check-in for livewell check the morning of the tournament even if pre-registered. You must come to Belle River Public Launch prior to going to your desired launch site within the boundaries.

11. Interpretation and enforcement of all rules shall be the joint responsibility of the Tournament Committee and all winners will be subject to polygraph.

Raffle tickets & 50/50 tickets will be available for purchase by all that attend the weigh-in event the afternoon of July 21st.

Food & drink tickets will also be available for purchase to those not fishing the event.

Payout will be adjusted based on the number of boats that register for the event. The above payout is based on 50 boats.
