  1. Winter break hours - WLL office closed 12/21/24 - 1/1/24, Adam and Malcolm will be remote; fac can request in-person support
  2. Summer Schedule Grid
  3. Updates on collaboration w/Applied Ling, Comm, Exploratory School Initiative.  Suwako will meet with Lynn Santelmann, Jeffrey Robinson, and Marie Lo (due to collaboration with ENG for Comp lit)

  1. Draft guidelines for Teaching Professor ranks - discussion cont’d from Nov. 1
  1. Addition of textbooks/oer publications?
  2. Discussing required vs acknowledged criteria for “outstanding achievement” dept requirements/guidelines
  3. How to confirm adoption of research/teaching materials
  4. How to equate outstanding achievement to PhD, i.e. teaching, academic discourse, publication, service
  1. Can't require publication per university policy
  1. Note that the discussion is for criteria for lowest rank in teaching professor track (teaching assistant professor), not for full teaching professor.
  2. Suggestion: Categories of teaching, research, service (like those for tenure-track faculty)
  3. Conclusion: Remove acknowledged (optional) criteria by moving them into sub-options under required categories
