APPROVED MINUTES

Members Present: Matzek, Sizemore, Block, Holub, Rudolph

CALL TO ORDER by Board President Matzek, subject to section 19.83 Wisconsin Statutes @ 7:01 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center

BUSINESS MEETING:

Board President Matzek adopted the consent agenda.  The consent agenda was adopted and approved.  Approved February 16, 2022 regular board minutes

Recommend the School Board approve the January checks as presented.  February payroll checks 18080,18083, advice of deposits 900089368-900089898, general fund checks 60520-60671, activity fund checks 10173-10176, district wires 202100390-2122000483, district ACH  212200042-212200070

RESIGNATIONS

Motion by Sizemore, seconded by Block to approve the acceptance of intent to resign by Taylor Mickle, Special Education Teacher Middle School at the end of the academic 2022 school year.  Motion carried.

NEW HIRES

Motion by Sizemore, seconded by Block to approve the hire of Jamie DuRose for the position of Elementary Teacher for the 2022-23 School Year. Motion carried.

Motion by Sizemore, seconded by Block to approve Tim Philips as new Head Coach of Prescott Cross Country. Motion carried.

Motion by Holub, seconded by Sizemore to approve designation of surplus materials for sale or disposal via auction house, scrap, salvage, or refuse based on value of material to meet the disposition of Personal Property or Disposition of Real Property. Motion carried.

Motion by Sizemore, seconded by Holub to approve acceptance of PTACEK’s, initial contribution to purchase electronic digital boards for PHS with 5-year advertising leases to cover cost of the scoreboards, two shot clocks above backboards and a new scoreboard on varsity football field. Motion carried.

Motion by Sizemore, seconded by Block to approve up to ten business partners as a slate presented by PSD AD on slide 12 to sign 5-year advertising agreements to repay the PTACEK contribution (minus PTACEK’s advertising portion) to cover the cost of the scoreboards, two shot clocks above backboards and a new scoreboard on varsity football field. Motion carried.

Motion by Block, seconded by Holub to approve the CESA 11 Contract for the 2022-23 academic year as presented. Motion carried.

Motion by Holub, seconded by Block to approve the PHS Principal’s request of two students to access the Early College Credit Program for the 2022-23 academic year. Motion carried.  

Motion by Holub, seconded by Block to approve Administrations recommendation to provide pandemic pay stipend of ($400 per hourly staff) for hourly employees who are currently working for PSD and are still with the district on May 30th, 2022. This pandemic payment is to recognize and acknowledge all hourly staff for persevering during the 2021-22 school year. This payment is targeted to the following areas: Administrative Assistants, Bus Drivers, Custodians, Food Service and Regular and Special Education Aides.

INFORMATION & DISCUSSION

Dr. Spicuzza presented information to Consider future Allocation of Funds for Crosswalk Signage Installations, he explained location of new sidewalk and signage. He presented the invoice of almost $30K, but this would be a Partnership with the City of Prescott and the cost to the District would be around $15K. April 20th will go for formal approval.

Dr. Spicuzza presented information regarding the April 5, 2022 election, he reminded that this was a vote for the referendum and for the 2 Board Seats openings. including PowerPoint slides.

Board President Mike Matzek made a brief debrief of their February 23rd Work Session with Teamworks. He explained how the session was focused on clarification of roles and responsibilities of the Board. He also explained that he will be working with Dr. Spicuzza and Teamworks to schedule more work sessions.
