PHILADELPHIA, PA — Jazz lovers are invited to experience a powerful celebration of music, culture, and community as the Germantown Jazz Festival (GJF) returns to historic Germantown April 24–26, 2026. Produced by the Community Education & Action Project, Inc. (C.E.A.P.), in partnership with its lead community partner Artcinia, and Sponsored by the Office of State Senator Art Hayward, the festival will present a dynamic three-day lineup of concerts, master classes, and cultural programming across multiple iconic Germantown venues.
The Germantown Jazz Festival celebrates the area's longstanding association with jazz and facilitates broad access to the arts for individuals of all ages. The festival anticipates attendance of over 2,500 participants from Philadelphia and the region. The program will feature performances by internationally recognized artists, esteemed local musicians, and prominent ensembles.
Festival Highlights
Friday, April 24, 2026 – Opening Night

The festival kicks off with live indoor and outdoor performances by top Philadelphia jazz artists, including The Richard Hill, Jr. Trio, Chris Oates and Company, TC the 3rd, Leon Jordan, Jr. Quintet, MIC’d Up with Luke Carlos O’ Reilly, and the Khary Shaheed Trio.
Saturday, April 25, 2026 – Terell Stafford Day
Peter A. Benoliel Germantown Branch Settlement Music School, 6128 Germantown Avenue
The festival partners with the Germantown Branch of Settlement Music School to present Terell Stafford, internationally acclaimed trumpeter, bandleader, professor, and composer.
- Master Class: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Tickets: Students $15,

- Evening Concert: 7:00 PM, featuring Terell Stafford and his Quintet. Tickets: Adults $50, Students, Family, & Friends, $25
Sunday, April 26, 2026 – Big Band Jazz Battle
First United Methodist Church of Germantown, 6001 Germantown Avenue |5:00 PM
The festival culminates in a high-energy Big Band Jazz Battle, featuring:
- Orrin Evans & the Captain Black Big Band
- Josh Lawrence & the Family
- The Philly Pops Jazz Orchestra

Sunday, April 26, 2026 - Late-Night Germantown Jazz Festival Jam
The Nile Café | 8:00 PM – Midnight $15 Admission
The weekend concludes with a Late-Night Germantown Jazz Jam, hosted by the Germantown Jazz Festival house band and open to local musicians.

Festival-goers can purchase individual tickets or a 3-Day Festival Pass, which grants access to the entire weekend of concerts, master classes, and performances. Ticket prices vary by event and venue. Advance purchase is recommended.
