Archaeological Evidence of Hebrews in Canaan during the Conquest

 By  Dr. Douglas Petrovich,

Since there is strong evidence that the Hebrews invented the world’s first alphabet writing long before the Exodus. After they left Egypt as nomads and entered Canaan 40 years later, the possibility exists for a variety of archaeological evidence to be found in Canaan that date to about 1400 BC.

For the Nov. 2 presentation Dr. Petrovich says that if biblical chronology is correct the Israelite conquest of Canaan under Joshua took place from 1406 to 1400 BC, and at least three Canaanite cities were destroyed by fire, one would expect some level of physical evidence that confirms the Israelite efforts there soon after arriving. The sites of Jericho and Hazor do reveal the kind of destruction that is expected from the conquest, and they will be studied separately. Jericho is the first Canaanite city attacked, and its destruction is recorded in vivid terms in Joshua 6. Hazor was the largest Canaanite city in Canaan, and excavations there have yielded some amazing finds that validate biblical historicity for the event of the conquest.

Don’t miss this Petrovich lecture; It will be full of fascinating information you have probably never thought to ask about. So, tell the world, bring some friends, and invite some church leaders. Everyone will be astounded, enthralled, and better informed about the reality of Biblical texts. You will want to stop calling these narratives anything like “Bible stories”.

Dr. Petrovich has proven himself to be an exceptionally dynamic, exciting, and erudite speaker. All are invited to join us online or in person.
