Importing Songs

1. Search for a song

In the top toolbar, you can click on the search icon (the magnifying glass) on the top left. Or you can use the shortcut [Ctrl +F]

This will open the search window

2. Search Window

The search window will pop up and you can search either from our ProPresenter Library or Song Select (Multitracks is the third option which we do not use). This window can also expand. Type a line of a lyric or the title of the song. You can click on the song to preview the lyrics. If you cannot find the song in the Library, you can check Song Select. Also note that many songs are labelled ‘LS’ or ‘IC’ - this is to note whether it is the In Church (IC) or Livestream (LS) version. If you are displaying for a live-streamed service, use the LS version if available. From here you can also see what library an item is in, whether it is a song, a hymn, liturgy etc.

3. Add to a Playlist

In the search window once you have found the song, you can add it to the playlist either by selecting Add to Playlist or using the shortcut [Ctrl + Enter]. This will add it to your current playlist.

4. Apply a Macro

Once it has been added, you may have to apply a macro to all the slides. (You can tell if macros have already been added if there are dark green [M] icons on the slides.)

To apply a macro, select all slides, right click and go to > add action > [M] Macro > [M] Song. This allows the powerpoint to display correctly on the screen in church, on the livestream and also for those at front on the confidence monitors.

Adding songs from SongSelect (not done yet)

Sometimes there may be songs that aren’t on our system. In this case, search as before in step 2, but search through SongSelect (the funny maze looking circle icon). Songs that are already in the song library will have been edited and had the macros and the themes already applied.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Do I need to go further into depth. (Extra notes for Adding from Song Select)
