About the Topic

→ Today most individuals have profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram or other social media networks. The digital age has changed how we socialize, shop, and learn about the world around us.

The use of social media, smartphones, tablet computers, and other internet technology has created new opportunities for professionals to interact with colleagues, mentor or be mentored, and serve children with hearing loss and their families.

Likewise, parents of children with hearing loss are discovering new ways to communicate with their service providers and finding communities of support through the same online outlets. This session will explore how professionals and parents can leverage social media and related technological applications to expand collaboration, support, and service delivery.
