Professional Practice Goal: 

I will help increase staff members’ understanding and implementation of the Universal Design for Learning Framework to create accessible and inclusive universal learning experiences for all.

PSEL Standards Addressed

Promote instructional practice that is consistent with knowledge of child learning and development, effective pedagogy, and the needs of each student.

CVSD Goal(s) Addressed

All students will have a sense of belonging and show growth.

Strategies and Actions

Expected Measurable Outcomes

Teachers will reflect on how implementing some UDL elements into their teaching has positively impacted the learning of all students.

Student data will show all students grew over the year.

• Time - both in student schedules, during early-release, and my schedule so I can get into classrooms
• Recess and lunch supports would be helpful

I am currently participating in two courses (with George Couros and Katie Novak) over the 2023-2024 school year to become certified in UDL.

I will help increase staff members’ understanding and implementation of effective Professional Learning Communities to build a student-centered and evidence-informed collaborative culture with shared responsibility of all student outcomes.

PSEL Standards Addressed

Align and focus systems of curriculum, instruction, and assessment within and across grade levels to promote student academic success, love of learning, the identities and habits of learners, and healthy sense of self.

CVSD Goal(s) Addressed

All students will have a sense of belonging and show growth.

PLC members will reflect positively on their PLC experience and show positive outcomes for student and staff learning.
