The year 2000 saw the publication of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV-TR (DSM), including “Shared Psychotic Disorder”, p. 333:
... The content of the shared delusional beliefs... can include relatively bizarre delusions (e.g., radiation is being transmitted into an apartment from a hostile... foreign power...).
The foregoing material was inserted into the DSM per vote of an American Psychiatric Association (APA) committee. The APA could have voted to cite any belief for its example there. Of all possible beliefs, the APA chose the belief:

The APA’s choice there is bad, as shown by comparing its benefit to its cost:

Delusional Disorder
“Delusional Disorder” is a fake mental disorder that the Mafia has planted in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV-TR (DSM-IV-TR) (2000), pp. 323–326. The Mafia uses this fake mental disorder for discrediting, abducting, and eliminating Mafia-witnesses — especially witnesses of Mafia-corruption at the Presidential level. |
My analysis here is similar to my analysis of “Shared Psychotic Disorder” above:
- Look at the example delusions the DSM steering committee chose for its description of this mental disorder.
- Examine the benefit to the American Psychiatric Association’s choice of examples. The examples are not scientifically-good examples of delusions.
- Examine the cost of the American Psychiatric Association’s choice of examples.
