Cardiopulmonary Monitor

Cardiac monitoring is indicated for childrens in any critical care area and in any other area where children may have any condition that may affect cardiac or breathing pattern such as cardiac dysrhythmias, acute respiratory distress, blunt thoracic injuries, electrolyte disturbances, and treatment requiring moderate or deep sedation or anesthesia.

The full ECG monitor is not typically used in the home setting, more frequently, an apnea monitor is used for home.
