Description

So, what exactly is the Transform tool? This is an improved version of default UE4 editor gizmo + number of related utilities. It has additional controls - free rotation sphere, screen space rotation arc and extra dual axis translation handles. Also the way delta applied is rewritten to properly handle local space transformations.

Scale gizmo is the same. Translation and Rotation gizmos have additional handles.

You can change rotation sphere/arc size, colors and apply arc cutout angle. The size of will affect on rotation amount.

Once plugin is enabled, you will find and additional mode tab.

Pivot Mode

There is a possibility to choose how you want to rotate the objects. Should they be rotated around gizmo location or each object will be rotated around its own pivot.

This option can be found in “Rotation” category.

Preserving child transformation

With Transform tool, you are now able to preserve child hierarchy unmodified during parent transformation.

Duplication with transform

The name of this tool should be self-describing. There are two ui commands declared. Duplicate special and duplicate with transform. When duplicate special is invoked, it stores initial transforms, than you offset objects and call duplicate with transform command, which is using stored offset to apply on duplicated objects. This is well known and widely used feature in 3d software.

Using this tool, play around with local and world coordinate system spaces.
