A. Minutes of the February 18, 2019 regular board meeting were approved.

V. DISCUSSION
A. 1:1 iPad Refresh iPad Bid Recommendation, 2019-20a - Lynn VanKampen presented the bids for 1190 new iPads/cases for 6th/9th grades for the 19-20 school year. The costs are as follows: 1,190 units from Apple at $294.00 each = $349,860 (cost includes required licences & certain apps); iPad cases from UZBL, 1,190 units at $25 each = $29,750.
B. Recommendation for West J Wing Technology - Lynn VanKampen presented the recommendations from our technology leadership team as follows:
1. Viewsonic LED TVs and cart mounts from CDWG, 6 at $2,895 = $17,370
2. Avermedia Doc Cameras from CDWG, 6 at $276 = $1,656
3. Epson Science Projectors/Mounts from CDWG, Inc 2 at $1,371 = $2,742
4. 50” Vizio TVs/Peerless Mounts from CDWG, 2 at $641.87 = $1283.74
5. Dalite Model C, Proj screens/mounts from AVI/SPL, 2 at $769.41 = $1,538.82
6. Shoretel phones/licensing from Sirus of Holland, 15 at $232.47 = $3,487.05
Total purchase request is for $28,077.61 from Bond related funds. Remaining project technology will be selected once the space has been opened for occupancy. All supporting documentation for the quotes is linked: West J Wing Tech Recommendation, March 2019.
C. Bid Recommendation for Paving Projects - Lynn VanKampen presented the recommended bid for paving part of Woodbridge Elementary parking areas, the drive between East and West High School, and the East High School bus loop. Kelly Rademacher and GMB reviewed all bids; low bid received from Site Work Solutions for $415,750. Funding source is the Building & Site Fund. Reference the map of paving projects.
D. Process for Evaluation of the Superintendent - Cal DeKuiper reviewed the proper procedures for the evaluation of the superintendent as was discussed in closed session in the previous month. Timeline is as follows:
March 18 Mary Miilu sends each board member an individual link
March 25 Noon deadline to submit individual evaluations to Mary Miilu
March 27 Curriculum Committee review
April 12 Agenda Planning
April 9 Finance Committee review
April 15 BOE Regular Meeting - Report summary of evaluation findings and potentially act on superintendent’s contract. As a reminder, there is no need to act on any financials as this is now part of the contract just like all other contracted employees.

A. TECHNOLOGY BID RECOMMENDATION - IPAD REFRESH
Linda Bush moved and Ron Scott supported the motion to approve the iPad refresh technology bid as reviewed in Discussion Item A above.

B. TECHNOLOGY BID RECOMMENDATION - ZWHS J WING
Ron Scott moved and Todd Brennan supported the motion to approve the technology bids for the Zeeland West J Wing, totalling $28077, per above Discussion Item B above.
VOTE: All Yes (6)
C. PAVING BID RECOMMENDATION
Mark Snyder moved and Todd Brennan supported the motion to approve the paving bids for Woodbridge Elementary and the high school campus per Discussion Item C above.
VOTE: All Yes (6)
VII. SUPERINTENDENT REPORTS
A. Meals Served - Cal De Kuiper called attention to the great work being done in the Food Service Department, with the number of meals served significantly increasing, due in part to trying new menus, asking students for feedback, and offering special events from time to time.
B. Snow Day Survey Results
