Ziggies No Gossip Tabloid

 Real News You Can Use!

Zig is currently working on some new recording projects including the usual Blues, Cajun and Zydeco mix. Also in the works are a few other surprises including a Ukulele and Mandolin project that will come out a bit later on down the road. Right now we’re preparing for for the Rolling Hills Radio gig in Jamestown NY coming up in January. On this gig he will be using his longtime friend, drummer Perry English. This will also be a bit of a reunion of the older bands they had, Deux Blue and Bayou Blasters. Deux Blue was a band that was working for at least 15 years that turned out to be very successful.

Ken Hardley from Rolling Hills Radio in Jamestown NY wrote:

Zeitler, who has dedicated himself to performing, creating and teaching music, plays a wide variety of American Roots music on an equally wide array of instruments — including guitar, banjo, fiddle, harmonica and the Irish bouzouki. He has released 22 CDs over the course of his career, his vocal stylings have been compared to some of the country’s most raw and honest singers such as Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan.

Bo White (Review Mag) 2012

Zig Zeitler, on the occasion of the 2012 release of Zeitler’s now 22 CDs, “Everything I Ever Did Wrong Is Right”, Robert “Bo” White, an Arts and Entertainment Writer for Saginaw Michigan’s Review Magazine wrote, Zeitler “crisscross[es] the country in pursuit of taking his music to every nook and cranny …   where people gather to listen to authentic Americana, Zydeco, Roots, Blues and Irish music … It is always reassuring to me to hear Zig perform. We need him to remind us of that which is pure and beautiful … the voice of the everyman. Zeitler is on a mission to keep [this] music alive… It is a comforting throwback to an era when rhythm, melody and harmony mattered.”
