This week is SAT testing week at Trinity. Kindergarten will not be participating with this testing. There will be no chapel this week and therefore chapel dress is not required. Your child has permission to wear regular uniform dress this Wednesday.
It is time to start thinking about kindergarten graduation. We are planning a big graduation with a processional and reception. It will take place Tuesday, May 29th. I have the graduation gowns and will need you to purchase the cap, tassel, and collar. The price is $16.00 and you will keep these items. Money will be due by April 26th, to give me plenty of time to order and receive the merchandise.
Be sure to mention that parents need to provide a towel, change of clothes, and chips & drinks and a medium size sand bucket.
Friday Field Day - Hot dogs will be provided for the children. Please send chips and a drink (one soda can will be allowed this time only) in your child’s lunch box that day. Each student will also need to bring a small (child size) sand pail (please, no hardware store buckets or large pails) and a beach towel. The Dollar Tree is a good place to find sand pails. Children should wear a t-shirt (no tank tops or spaghetti straps), shorts or pants and tennis shoes (no sandals, flip flops, crocs or water shoes). For precaution, send a change of clothes in your child’s backpack. Your child will be out in the sun most of the morning, please apply sunscreen that morning before your child comes to school. Mr. Ortiz will need lots of volunteers. Please contact him directly if you are able to help - email@example.com. (Please send in a snack)
Family Skate Night: (Next Monday Night, April 23rd, 6:30-8:30)
Just a reminder that Family Skate Night is scheduled for this Monday night, March 23rd, 6:30-8:30 at Roller King on Riverside Blvd. Roller King has reserved the rink for Trinity only. It will be lots of fun!; See you there!
Graduation Pictures: Please select your pictures to purchase and send in the money and remaining pictures in the packet unless you are purchasing the whole packet. If not, send in the packet and I will return it to Lifetouch.
Field Trip: Crest Theater (Next Week,Thursday, Apr. 26th) We will be attending a live play “Click Clack Moo” at the Crest Theater downtown. We will picnic at Cesar Chavez Park if the weather permits. All drivers must turn in a copy of their driver’s license & insurance. (Mrs. Gilkey will contact you if you need an updated copy) This also includes drivers who are only taking their own child; it is for insurance purposes. (Please do so before the day of our field trip) Mrs. Gilkey sent home a notice stating how many tickets you purchased and if you need to send a copy of insurance. If you did not get it, please let me know. I need the drivers to bring a blanket for the picnic. Please put lunch and disposable drink in a paper bag with name. (We will have snack before we leave) There is free dress. Please be in my classroom no later than 8:15 a.m. (We will collect lunches, do bathrooms, and load up) Most Important! Be sure to send a car seat or booster. The law requires all children to be in one.
(Also, we have three extra tickets! Please let me know if you are interested in getting a ticket.)
