Discussion/Work Items:

1. Welcome – Chair Rachelle Lawrence

2. Approval of Minutes

Katrina Long motioned to approve the October 28th 2015 minutes and Cody Fowkes seconded the motion.

3. Title 1 Plan 15-16 Review – Principal Wohlforth

Principal Wohlforth reviewed the current MES Title I plan – comprehensive needs assessment, goals, strategies, professional development, teacher staff qualifications, parent involvement, assessment, transitions and budgets.  

4. School Land Trust Plan 15-16 Update – Principal Wohlforth

Principal Wohlforth reviewed the current plan progress – spending and achievement of goals.  

5. School Land Trust Plan 16-17 Beginning Discussion – Principal Wohlforth

Open discussion and review of input from teachers about current needs and suggestions for funding for next year.

We started with a beginning discussion of the 2016-2017 SLT plan.  Priorities identified:

        -More IA support

        -Add funds to art and music goals

                Music – more instruments budget $5000

                Great Artist supplies $1500 (cost of year 5 curriculum)

• Professional Development for teachers.  What would be the cost of Mastery Connect training?
• Science Kits?  Budget for materials.  Mrs. Drake will follow-up and be a contact for science grants with Mrs. Weaver.  It is more useful to give teachers a budget to build and create their own kits.  Discussion of partnering with Parent Advisory Committee to ensure teachers would have $200- 300 per classroom.
